Color Appeal in Advertising

The colors you use for an advertisement are more important than the actual wording of the ad. The reason for this is the colors (and graphics) capture the consumers attention then causes them to read your ad. According to psychology.about.com, "Psychologists have suggested that color impression can account for 60% of the acceptance or rejection of that product or service."

Each color has different meanings to different cultures. For advertising purposes, it is extremely important to design your ads in a way that appeals to your target market. Try to choose colors that will compliment the message you are sending to your consumers.

Advertisements

Red
Red is a color that symbolizes action, warmth, power, aggression, excitement, drama, fire, blood, passion, love, danger, anger, and heat. It is a highly visible color that will always attract attention. Red will also stimulate several emotions.

Stop signs have trained us to stop and look when we see red. So it is only natural to want to stop and look at a red billboard.

Studies show that people in casinos gamble more in red rooms than room with any other colors. Red is also a good color for automobiles sales, pet shops, pasta shops, pizzerias, and restaurants.

However, the color red is not recommended for medical companies because it signals bad health, blood, and emergencies. Red is also the color accountants use to show that they have a negative cash flow.

Orange
Orange is a vibrant and fun color. It improves mental clarity, promotes warmth and happiness. Orange also increases the oxygen's flow to the brain. Contentment, fruitfulness, and wholesomeness are qualities that are also associated with orange.

The color orange can help an expensive product seem more reasonably priced. It is the perfect color for products that appeal to a wide variety of people.

Orange is an appetite stimulant. It is a good color choice for vitamin shops, Mexican restaurants, dance clubs, and products that target Latin and French people.

Yellow
Yellow is a perfect color for sunny, happy, bright, cheerful, playful, easygoing, and optimistic advertisements. Ideal for florists, candy shops, toy stores, amusement parks, and discount stores.

Yellow is the first color the eye processes. It is also the most visible color to the human eye. This is why it grabs attention faster than any other color.

Yellow is also a color of caution. Most yellow road signs are warning drivers of a problem in the road or with the on-coming traffic. This is just another reason why yellow grabs our attention quickly.

Green
Green symbolizes life, nature, environment, youth, money, renewal, hope, and power. It is a color that soothes people, reduces pain, and makes us feel safe.

Since green traffic lights have conditioned us to go forward or to enter places, it makes us feel welcomed. This is a great quality for any product or service.

Yellow-green is not a wise color for food advertisements because it is an appetite depressant.

Light green calms people. That is why most walls in jails, schools, waiting rooms, and hospitals are light green.

Green is a great color for financial advisors, banks, and accountants because it signals money. It is also good for outdoor products because it gives consumers a natural outdoor feeling. The color green can be used for green houses, vegetable stands, landscaping, and farmers because it signals life.

Blue
Blue makes people feel calm, relaxed, tranquil, peaceful, wise, loyal, and trustworthy. It helps people accept themselves and resolve their problems.

The color blue also helps increase productivity.

On the other hand, the color blue can also symbolize sadness, and depression. Since most foods are not blue, the color blue is an appetite suppressant that can help people lose weight!

Blue is definitely the most popular color of both men and women. Several well-known corporations use blue in their logos. It is a great color choice for travel agencies, pool companies, masseurs, doctors offices, pharmacies, medical suppliers, motels, psychologists, and weight loss centers.

Purple
Purple is a sophisticated, creative, luxurious, and wealthy color. It is also associated with royalty. A bluish shade of purple tends to create mystery, while a reddish shade of purple is sensual, and creative. Purple with a red tint will get more attention.

Purple is hard for some people (mainly men) to see. However, it is a great color for artists, elaborate restaurants, clothing stores, book stores, art galleries, night clubs, magicians, photographers, country clubs, golf courses, jewelry stores, beauticians, and fortune tellers.

Brown
Brown symbolizes coffee, lumber, and earth-tone products. It is a reliable, solid, strong, mature, and comfortable color. Brown is now considered a rich and robust color.

The color brown is an excellent color for hardware stores, coffee houses, craft shops, herbal shops, health food stores, male haberdasheries, cabinet shops, western stores, contractors, clock shops, and carpenters.

Black
Black symbolizes power, prestige, elegance, style, reliability, simplicity, and sophistication. The color black is more about attitude than anything else. It is a trendy color that keeps consumers up to date with technology. It is also a very informative color.

Black used to be viewed as the color of death, witches, demons, and evil. However, this perception is declining.

Black is a great color choice for music shops, accountants, lawyers, electronic stores, and tire stores.

White
White symbolizes purity, cleanliness, virtue, innocence, and freshness.

The color white is a great choice for bridal shops, weddings, religious groups, daycare centers, medical facilities, wineries, dentists, catering companies, bakeries, museums, historical sites, bed and bath shops, dry cleaners, and cleaning services.

Please be careful, because white is a color of death and mourning is China, Japan, and other Middle East countries.

Once you have selected the right color(s) for your business, be sure to find out what colors effectively compliment your color choice.

Different Types of Marketing

If you want your company to succeed, at some point you will need to begin marketing your products or services. The old adage that the worst type of advertising is no advertising is still true. No matter what your marketing budget may be, there are many different types of marketing that you can take advantage of. Let's take a look at a few of the more proven techniques that combine low cost with major results.

Online Marketing

Ads

Online marketing has opened up incredible avenues for small businesses. Thanks to companies like Google and Overture, you can place ads for your company right along side the big guns at competitive prices. Never before has it been easier to market your business than it is right now.

New forms of online marketing are also making headway. Online video ads are easy and cheap to shoot and give you the kind of exposure that was previously limited to expensive national television campaigns. With low production costs and reasonable pricing, you can run an online video campaign at a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising.

Offline Marketing

The benefits of traditional marketing cannot be overlooked in our digital age. Many companies are reaping the benefits of combining online and offline marketing techniques. For example, you can use direct mail or local advertising to drive potential customers to your site. This is a great and proven combination that results in increased traffic and better conversions.

You can actually save money on print campaigns by relying on your website to do the actual selling while the print ad can function as a pointer. You'll save money using less words while building brand awareness. Radio ads are still a proven way to increase awareness of your company. If you are new to radio marketing, try placing a sample ad with a local station. They'll be able to assist you in producing your first ad until you get the hang of the process.

Word of Mouth Marketing

Word of mouth is still one of the most powerful forms of advertising on the planet. The best word of mouth comes from satisfied customers. Go the extra mile for them, and really work towards building relationships with your customers. This will result not only in more leads but they'll keep coming back to you in the future. Try running special promotions or coupons for these regular customers to help them feel that they are special and you'll really be able to continue to build on these relationships in the future.

The best marketing strategies take advantage of all the different types of advertising. By spreading your ad dollars around you can be assured of greater success and better interaction with the public. Start small by combining a special promotion that will run both in print and online avenues at the same time. You can keep track of the success of each method by using coupon codes to see which form suits your company the best.

How Gas Prices Affect Our Economy

Over the past few years gas prices seem to always be in the news. In one week they are extremely high and the next they are extremely low. This volatility in gas prices is not a positive trend four our country as we are trying to increase stability and then in turn increase our economic growth. Unfortunately, these bouncing prices leaving the U.S. behind other countries as our growth rate is 2 - 2.5% and not the 5% expected globally.

In March gasoline prices rose 10.6% making it more expensive to commute to and from work. This expense eats up any increases in income that may have been experienced during the past month. Furthermore, it costs companies more to transport their products, send mail, and get supplies. This increase in cost in transportation and resources will again be sent back to the consumer who experiences further income loss for basic necessities.

Propaganda

Thus a substantial and sustain increase in oil prices has a compounding effect on society and the economy. Heating costs are higher, food costs which use gasoline in tractors are higher, product costs are higher, the cost of war which uses lots of fuel goes up, less jobs are produced and things cost more money across the board.

The good news is that when checking on the price of food and clothing (basic necessities) it was found that clothing costs reduced slightly while food rose only slightly. In other words, the higher cost of fuel is not reflected in other product which means it is not yet damping the economy. It can be said, however, that the rise in fuel cost is one of the major contributors to the rising of inflation and loss of realized income.

The faster the Country can develop alternative sources of fuel that are both sustainable and cost effective the less reliance on oil. The less reliance on oil the less likely the price of oil will bounce around and affect the economy. A more stable economy means a better chance of sustained growth in GNP, jobs and investments.

Several companies that provide different kinds of transport services are concentrating entirely on the 'packing and moving' business, and several new companies have entered the business. All in all, it becomes highly difficult for a family to choose the correct packing and moving company.

Moving trucks advertise s in the yellow pages and on the Internet extensively. There are many ads in newspapers and home improvement magazines. Advertising

A moving truck advertisement must detail where the company's main office is and the areas where they operate. It is important that the driver of the moving truck know the area in and out, in case of any emergency.

The prime purpose of a moving truck company advertisement is to attract more clients. You should not be carried away by their claims and upscale advertisements, but must actually shop around. Best Dating Headlines

If you are a newbie to online dating, you will need to keep in mind several things. First, an online dating site profile headline is the second thing that catches the attention of the people viewing your dating profile. Why second? You guessed it right, the first thing people look at on your dating profile is your pictures.

While you can't change much about how you look outside of getting a decent haircut and dressing up nicely for your online dating photo shoot, a dating headline is something that is completely under your control.

Ads

When composing a best dating headline you want to present yourself in the best light. Yet, your dating profile headline should represent who you are in a short one sentence paragraph. Remember, you don't want to mislead anyone by your dating headline, yet, you want it to be the best you can.

What is the best dating headline? You ask. A great dating headline is the one what gives a short statement of who you are without trying to sell too hard. You want to be presented in the best light, however, you don't want your dating headline to be misleading. Example: don't say, "I am athletic" if the most athletic activity you've ever been involved in has been running a short distance from the television in the living room to the refrigerator in the kitchen to get another beer.

Yahoo AdWords

Many folks are searching for the key word 'Yahoo AdWords' on the web. But don't be frustrated when you don't find it. Though Yahoo doesn't basically have a program with this name (like Google AdWords)... Yahoo does provide you the chance to utilize pay per click or pay per click adverts. As A Matter Of Fact, it's named Yahoo Search.

Yahoo PPC works with the same principles of any pay-per-click on any search engine. You do a little key word searching. You make severala couple of advertisements to target that those key words and you promote your company.

Ad

These are six good causes to utilize the Yahoo Search pay-per-click Program.

- it can offer you with good free key phrase research tool. Don't start your ads unless you make full use of this.

- it can give you with free conversion tracker to check how your traffic converts in to sales.

- It supplies you intensive reporting tools.

- You could ensure to never spend more than the every day budget you allow.

- You simply pay every time your adverts get clicked on.

- You may receive extraordinarily targeted traffic if you choose your key words properly.

These are several causes that 'Yahoo AdWords' may work better for you than Google AdWords. First off, while it's right that Google gets the higher traffic compared to Yahoo, MSN or a lot of the other search engines, it is tougher for beginners to use that traffic due to that they can't afford to challenge the high bids. A lot of keywords can even cost .00 or more a click simply to set you somewhere on the 1st page.

Where a key phrase on Google might cost .50 per click, this same keyword on Yahoo, might cost only about thirty cents per click. Will you receive as much traffic to your advert on Yahoo? No. But you will be able to afford the traffic you are getting and, after you begin profiting from this traffic, you could choose to invest a little of your profits in to more Yahoo PPC or move some of it over to Google.

Keep in mind that the secret to be prosperous with any PPC program, whether or not it's on Google, Yahoo, MSN or any of the other tons of search engines, is to begin out focusing on non-competitive keyword phrases. Yahoo supplies you all the tools to be able to see which key words people are searching for that are relevant to your business and to judge which ones are too competitive and which are not. Though you will get very few clicks at the beginning, when you start adding more adverts, the clicks are going to all start to add up too.

So, though you'll never be in a position to find Yahoo AdWords in any search you do online, the Yahoo Search pay per click program includes a superb platform with informative manuals and training on employing their tools and system.

10 Tips on How to Respond to a Personal Ad

You have seen a personal ad that you like and now you want to respond. Most people do it wrong and then wonder why they never get a reply. While there are "secrets" or guarantees, here are 10 tips on how to respond to a personal ad to help you stand out from the crowd.

1. Write in advance. Draft your response. Use a word processor (Word, WordPad etc.) to check spelling and grammar. Just remember that a word processor cannot tell the difference between "live" and "leave".

Ad

2. Personalize it. Never use a generic response. Nobody likes a "canned" response. Each email should be written to that particular person. Visualizing a real person and writing him/her helps. Want to contact many people as quickly as possible? Create a template and save it in your computer (or on paper). Then personalize it for each contact.

3. Study the person's ad and look for clues on how to reply. In your response, tell how or why you may fit with their hopes, desires and personality.

4. Avoid overused, generic terms like "Hi_, can we chat?" or "Response to your ad". Use the subject of the email to catch attention: most people look at the subject to decide whether to open the email. If you have received responses for your personal ads, study the ones that attract your attention and model yours from them.

5. Write more than one line. Tell something about yourself. Give a compliment but avoid commenting on the person's looks, especially when writing to a pretty woman (how many others have done that?). You could mention what attracted you to their ad. Ask questions about something they wrote. Show keen, genuine interest.

6. Don't write a novel. Long messages can be intimidating, especially if the person has received lots of responses. They simply get deleted. Keep it short and sweet.

7. Don't ask for personal information at this point. And never reveal personal information on first contact.

8. Unless the person has said he/she is looking for a casual relationship, don't mention anything suggestive of sex. A "friends first" approach works best.

9. Avoid negativity. Don't mention past failed relationships. And don't brag. If you like something about yourself or have a special talent, sneak it in without touting your horn. Example, "My friends say I play the piano really well."

10. Be pleasant, courteous and positive. And above all, be honest. Don't say you work out regularly at the gym, as impressive as it may seem, when you know you're couch potatoes.

There you have 10 tips on how to respond to a personal ad. Take your time and write a winner. It could mean the difference between success and failure in getting you the person you seek.

Personal Support Worker Resume Tips & Tricks

We've all created a resume at one point or another. But which tips and tricks can turn a Personal Support Worker Resume from one that merely gets read to one that gets you hired?

Resume: A quick refresh

A resume is an advertisement, plain and simple. The product or service that is being advertised is you. The purpose behind the document is to make yourself stand out to the employer and have them grant you a job interview.

Onto the Personal Support Worker Resume

What can help set you apart from other applicants is a strong resume bias towards your skills, experience and education. Since the large majority of this job is dealing with the public, having strong references is also of key importance.

Skills

PSW skills are mostly outlined in text-books and in your course materials. "Flexible, works well with others, problem solving, etc" are all common examples of some skills that you can list. You may also want to include a few job specific examples such as "familiar with body mechanics, warning signs and dealing with different personality types."

Experience

Since PSW courses in Ontario require on the job placement, each and every student will have some experience to place upon their resume. A quick tip for current or perspective students. If you are offered the ability to change workplaces in the middle of your co-op then do so. Even if the first placement is everything you were hoping for, the additional placement will help to pad your PSW experience on your resume. Attempt to stick to "more adult" employment positions, unless you absolutely need to use your old paper route or baby sitting as padding.

Education

For education list your personal support worker certificate and high school graduation. They will assume that you made it through elementary school. If you collected an awards along the way include those as well.

References

This section can really go a long way in helping you secure a job. A tip is to use individuals that you got along with at your placement as references. This may be fuzzy in terms of honesty, but you can always say that a co-worker at the placement was "in-charge" of your training and day to day activities. Using a person that knows you is preferable vs using a manager that you had little contact with.

Internal Recruitment - Advantages And Disadvantages Explained

The term internal recruitment is defined as the practice of choosing amongst current company workers to fill a position that falls vacant over time. The vacancy could sometimes be advertised throughout a company; this could be on the company's monthly or quarterly job-sheet. Most institutions of higher learning use this practice. The practice is evoked occasionally when a company's employee has been rendered redundant in their current post, and oftentimes it's a way used to promote a certain company employee sideways other than up the firm. Internal recruitment is often resorted to as a way of saving money that could be spent through advertisements and also to cut on training costs that an outside employee would need to become familiar with the system.

Internal vacant positions are advertised in various ways, it could be done through an internal job sheet, the company's notice board or through the company's intranet - this is the type of website whose viewing is limited to the organizations members. Others companies have company magazines that they use for advertisement purposes while others may use staff meetings - this could be used when an organization wants to advertise the vacant position to a specific group of employees.

Advantages of internal recruitment are more than just cutting on advertisement costs because it offers wonderful opportunities for the current staff to further their careers. Internal recruitment could also be a great way of keeping workers who may have been considering a flight from the company, this is advantageous because the cost of training are at most best insignificant and to the worst much less than it would cost if the organization advertised outside. It's definitely faster and less costly than outside recruitment and it has the added merits because current employees are a familiar entity. Some organizations conduct external recruitment only to discover later that they have a member of staff who doesn't fit into the general environ and the mission and vision statement of the organization.

The disadvantage of internal recruitment is that the size of prospective applicants is considerably reduced. There is no doubt that outside recruitment provides the organization with a broader skill pool and wider experience than could be the case with internal recruitment. A staff member who responds to the internal advertised position and gets the job might discover that their workmates resent that promotion and that could prove very challenging for them in their newfound positions. If a company does its recruitment internally, It most probably faces the possibility of having another empty position to fill, and of how to do that. Organizations that heavily rely on inside recruitment might eventually find that they have to advertise outside the organization, the cost notwithstanding. Current staff may fill to be the best candidates for the position regardless of whether they have the necessary expertise and expertise required for the job.

The Best Creative Ways to Propose

Marriage proposals made over a romantic dinner at an elegant restaurant can be very romantic but they are not necessarily creative. Many women dream about the day that the man of their dreams proposes to them and hope that the day will be absolutely perfect in every way imaginable. In a recent study the majority of married women reported that they believe that their spouse spent a significant amount of money on their wedding proposal but that the lack of originality in the proposal had left the women feeling disappointed.

One creative way to propose for a couple involved in a long distance relationship is to plan a surprise visit and set up a scavenger hunt. You could have a friend pick you up from the airport so that your girlfriend doesn't know that you are coming to visit and have the friend give your girlfriend instructions for the scavenger hunt. You could hide a number of small surprises such as candy, flowers and a CD as the first few stops on the scavenger hunt and then hide at the final location poised to propose when your girlfriend completes the game.

Ad

An outdoor enthusiast might appreciate a creative proposal during a camping trip. It's a good idea to plan a quiet trip for just you and your girlfriend at a picturesque location. You could hide the ring in your sleeping bag to use in a surprise proposal. When it's time to go to sleep after a long day of hiking and fishing, you could complain that there must be a rock or something underneath you and then pull out the ring and make your proposal. This creative proposal also contains the element of surprise as a camping trip is not a usual proposal location.

Another creative proposal idea is to place an ad in a local newspaper. You could place an outrageous ad in a newspaper asking anyone who was willing to get married to give you a call and include a fictitious phone number. Then when you and your girlfriend are reading the paper together, you could point out the ad as a joke and while she is reading the ad, seize the opportunity to pull out the engagement ring and let her know that you would love to marry her.

Proposing at a sporting event is a creative way to propose to a sports fan. For this proposal idea you could either arrange to have your proposal broadcast over the public address system or displayed on the large screen. If you are really adventurous, you could also contact the team's public relations department and try to make arrangements to make your proposal on the field at halftime. They might be willing to help you stage a scenario where you are either chosen to win a prize or participate in a contest and while you are on the field, they would hand over the microphone to allow you to make your proposal.

Another creative marriage proposal idea is to purchase a book of poems and leave the first few pages intact and carve a heart into the remaining pages and sew the engagement ring to the back of the book. You could suggest taking turns reading the poems on each page and plan to have your girlfriend turn the final complete page to reveal the heart and ring that were hidden inside. This proposal idea is not only creative but also incredibly romantic.

Having the DJ of your girlfriend's favorite radio program ask her if she will marry you is another creative proposal idea. You will want to make sure that you are aware of the exact time that the DJ will be sending your message so that you are able to ensure that you and your girlfriend are listening together when he makes the announcement. You could also arrange to have the DJ play a song that has a special meaning for you as a couple so that you can enjoy a dance together after she accepts your creative proposal.

Another creative way to propose is to include all of your family and friends in the event by inviting them all to a surprise party for your girlfriend. To make this proposal work, you would either convince your girlfriend that you want to have a quiet dinner at home or at a restaurant with just the two of you. Once you arrive at the destination all of the guests will reveal themselves and while all eyes are on the two of you, you could take the opportunity to profess your love and propose.

Still another creative way to propose is to hide the ring in an unexpected location. For example you could pretend to have a clogged sink and while you are working to fix the clog, you could reach into the sink and pull out the engagement ring. When your girlfriend is nearby, you could seize the opportunity to pull out the ring you had hidden earlier and say something to the effect of, "No wonder the sink is clogged, I'll have to find another place to store this ring, how about your finger?" This whimsical proposal is both light-hearted and creative.

A variation on the traditional proposal at an elegant restaurant could be to have the waiter bring out the ring with the bill. You could have a little good natured fun with your girlfriend by going out of your way to drop hints that you would be proposing over dinner. If you keep up the act, she will be expecting your proposal with each course. After dessert you could tell her that you have something very important to ask and as she eagerly awaits your proposal, you could ask an inconsequential question about something completely irrelevant to your relationship. She will probably be furious at this point but her anger won't last as the waiter arrives with the bill and the engagement ring and you let her know how much she means to you.

Finally a creative proposal idea is for the woman to ask the man to marry her, instead of waiting for him to propose. Many women anxiously await the day that the man in their life will propose but why not add your own creative twist by proposing to him instead. The woman is free to propose in any way that she finds truly romantic and can ensure that the proposal is both creative and romantic and that it's a moment that they both will remember for the rest of their lives.

A great marriage proposal doesn't have to be expensive or extravagant. Many women are more likely to cherish the memories of a proposal that was inexpensive but truly creative. The creativity is what makes the proposal so memorable and what makes it a great story to tell their friends.

Qualities of Good Advertisement Copy

Advertising is one of the major factors for the success of any company. The success of advertising depends very much upon the copy of advertisement. The aim of the advertisement is to attract the customer and create an urge in his mind to have that product and if the advertisement does not fulfill this objective, the expenditure done on advertising is quite useless.

While preparing the advertisement copy the person in charge should be imaginative enough to think of words and patterns which would produce desired effect on the prospect. The good advertisement copy should possess some of characteristics like:

Qualities of Good Advertisement Copy

Why Use a Letterhead?

A letterhead does not only represent a company but shows professionalism on correspondents made in the name of a company. A blank paper is bare and an important document printed on it lacks the seriousness of the correspondence. Instead of looking like an application letter or personal letter, a letterhead shows an importance and urgency to whatever is written on a paper.

A simple design and arrangement of the company name, the logo and other important information is placed at the top of the page. The logo should be the same as all the logos that represents the company. It should be uniform and not changed any time the company feels like it. The fonts used for the company name should also be the same as the company billboards, or other items that has the company name on it.

Remember that any written document from the company should come from the company only. The letterhead is an evidence of that. It is the extension of the company's reputation and business in the form of papers, envelopes, brochures, etc. Company papers should not be used for just anything. It should be used only for business purposes. Anything written on it will reflect the involvement of the company and the people who works there.

As agreed there should only be one plate made if it is for mass printing on a specific size of paper. Which follows that only one plate is made for other sizes like envelopes, notepads and such. This will assure that the same measurement and distance are printed on the paper and will not be different from one another. The paper should also be of best quality. It does not have to be very expensive as long as the quality is good. There are a lot of inexpensive quality paper that you can buy, just be consistent as well. Choose one that fits the image you want to project for your company.

Telephone numbers, licensed numbers, branch addresses and other pertinent information should also be correct and not misleading. Once a detail is changed the letterhead should be changed accordingly. It is such a drag when clients call the telephone numbers on the letterhead and no one answers or the telephone number has already been discontinued.

A letterhead shows that your company is serious with your business and is more than willing to assist. It is a silent way of representing your company to clients and would be clients. It serves as an advertisement for the company as well and is known to attract more clients. How to Write a Home Sale Ad

Many people are choosing to sell their homes without a Realtor these days, a plan that can save you some serious money. Of course, your house has to actually sell before you can consider that strategy effective. Below are some tips and tricks for writing an ad that generates interesting in your house and, hopefully, leads to a sale.

o    Consider your ad options. Not very long ago, a real estate ad had only one purpose: to appear in your local newspaper. And while newspapers are still a great option, modern technology calls for a more far-reaching marketing strategy. The best place to start is by asking yourself where you would look if you were in the market to buy a home. The answer, for most people, is the Internet. It's ideal becase you don't need to leave your house to browse the selection, and it's ready whenever homebuyers are. These are the same reasons you want your ad to be online, and there are plenty of for sale by owner (FSBO) websites that will be happy to run your ad. Newspapers, of course, are a tried-and-true option that shouldn't be discounted, even with the Internet's prominence. If you're outside a major metropolitan area, make sure that your ad appears in your local paper, as well as a large daily in nearby cities; you never know when someone will want to move out of the city and into a more rural location.

Ad

o    Set the scene. It only takes a few words for homebuyers to grab the nearest phone and beg to see your home-or for those same homebuyers to turn the page without giving your house a second thought. Include basics such as the style (ranch, two story, etc.) and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, but you also want to include descriptive phrases that help people imagine themselves living there. Make it easy on readers by spoon-feeding them gems like, "Spacious kitchen that opens into a great room-perfect for entertaining" or "Remodeled master bathroom that recreates your favorite spa."

o    Put a positive spin on things. It's not okay to lie, but it is okay to make your house sound as charming as possible. If it's not move-in ready, say something like, "Ready to be fixed up into the home of your dreams." And if you live in a neighborhood that has a less-than-desirable reputation-maybe it's known for older houses without much space-be sure to convey how your house is different. Describe how your house sits on a big lot or the fact that you have an oversized garage that can be used as a workshop. Give homebuyers a reason to change their minds about the neighborhood.

o    Create a winning headline. It's the first thing people will read, so it has to grab them. Pick out the absolute best feature or characteristic of your house and make that the headline: "Upscale family living at a great price" or "Sprawling country retreat with orchards," for example.

o    Include a photo (or two). While fabulous copy can create an attractive mental picture, there's no substitute for an actual photo. When you have plenty of space-website ads and flyers, for example-include multiple photos of the inside and outside of your home. When you only have room for one photo, it should be the outside of the home, preferably taken on a sunny day. No matter what angle or space you're photographing, the number one rule is "clean and tidy." Clear out all clutter before snapping a picture, and be sure the area is spic and span.

o    It's all about the price. It's astounding how many home sellers omit the asking price in their ad. Whether by accident or intent, it's a mistake. It doesn't matter how much someone loves your house, if it's 0,000 over their budget, you've wasted your time and theirs because there's no way they'll be making an offer. Letting people know up front how much the house costs is both efficient and courteous. You don't have time to field 20 calls a day from people inquiring about the cost, only to have them slam the phone down upon hearing it. You want to take phone calls from people who know the price, are comfortable with the ballpark, and want to set up an appointment to see it.

o    Keep it short and sweet. The paragraphs, that is. The best way to lose someone's attention is to cram a lot of info into rambling paragraphs. Bullets are a great way to separate facts into easily digestible bites.

Advertising on Cars - Learn How to Make Money From Car Advertising

You have probably heard of people making extra cash every month by simply driving their car as they usually do, or people who got a brand new car for free. Well, even if you did not hear about such people, they exist, and what they do is called car advertising.

For instance, if you are a person who wants to buy a new car, but you do not have the money to do so, there are companies who will be glad to offer you a free new car, with advertisements on, and let you drive it for anywhere between 2 and 5 years. After the contract expires, you can choose another car you want to drive!. For free! All you will have to worry about is gas money!

Advertising

Another choice you have is getting paid up to 00 a month for driving your own car. The average monthly sum of money people get is 0 - 0, depending on the type of car they drive. It may not seem much, but think of all the things you could do with this extra money! And the most important thing is that you practically do not do anything other than you usually do, so you have nothing to lose!

There are a few ways in which you can find advertising on car companies to pay you, but the most practical one is to sign up with specialized websites that will help you find the best deals out there. Why get paid 0 a month by one company when you can get paid 0 with another one? Why get a small ugly car from one advertiser when you can choose from more than 100,000 brand new beautiful cars offered by another company?

If you are interested in car advertising and want to find out how you can make the best of this opportunity, make sure you visit and bookmark Advertising on Cars. It is not my website, but helped me get started.
